Bhavans Expo celebrates science, mathematics, and arts

The much-anticipated Bhavans Expo 2024-25 was officially inaugurated on March 1st, by Abdulrahman Jawahery, CEO of Bapco. The vibrant ceremony took place at the school auditorium and was attended by distinguished guests, including school directors Himanshu Verma and Ritu Verma and Principal Saji Jacob.
This year’s Expo showcased an impressive array of approximately 80 innovative science projects, 50 mathematics models, and 65 captivating art exhibits, all created by our talented students. The event highlighted the incredible creativity and intellect of young scholars, who engaged attendees with their insightful explanations and demonstrations.
Among the standout displays were ground breaking projects such as the Curiosity Rover on Mars, Rain Water Harvesting systems, and the Chandrayaan mission model. Students also presented a range of engaging scientific innovations, including a Phyto Air Purifying Unit, a working model of a microscope addressing eye defects, and a Solar Car prototype. Additionally, the Brachistochrone Curve Experiment and a Generator Powered by a Windmill showcased the practical applications of physics in innovative ways.
Mathematics was beautifully represented with projects like the 3-Dimensional Garden of Mathematical Shapes, a division machine, conic sections, and methods for determining the height of buildings using a clinometer.
Director Himanshu Verma commended the students for their hard work and innovation, remarking, “The future of our world lies in the hands of these young minds. Their passion for science, mathematics, and the arts will undoubtedly pave the way for future breakthroughs.” Director Ritu Verma congratulated the students on their successful presentation of the concepts. Principal Saji Jacob added, “This Expo is a testament to the dedication of our students and faculty. It inspires us all to continue exploring the wonders of the world around us.”
The Bhavans Expo 2024- 25 not only fosters a spirit of inquiry and creativity but also strengthens the community’s connection to education and the arts. “I was extremely proud to see the level of knowledge of our young students. I commend the BIS Management on the care they give to the students at the school. The level of knowledge of the young students is remarkable. Congratulations and I see many future leaders will be graduating from BIS. Well Done!” Chief Guest of the event Abdulrahman Jawahery expressed his admiration for the event.
