LIC International was established on July 23, 1989 in Bahrain, in partnership with International Agencies Co. (Intercol), with the objective of providing life insurance cover to the Indian Diaspora in GCC countries. We enjoy strong brand connect with the Indian diaspora because of our parentage LIC of India, which is the strongest and largest Life Insurance Company in India with a market share of more than 70%. Our success comes from our customer centricity and the wide range of products which fulfills life cycles of our customers.

Our products are transparent, cost effective and provides competitive and attractive returns, liquidity and ideal for fulfilling the dreams of your children’s higher education and settling them in their life. We also provide attractive products, health coverage and pension when one retires. During 2017 our financial performance has been quite appreciable,a gross new business premium of US $385 million (BD 145 million) was achieved as compared to $186 million in 2015. With a growth rate of 34pc in first year premium income, it has been their best performance till date. The total premium income of $534 million showed a growth of 34pc. Similarly, investment income of $98 million showed a growth of 20pc. Claim payments 2017 was around $194 million and profit of $16.7 million shows good growth. Though single-premium policies have been the stronghold of LIC, the corporation focused on non-single premium income, which resulted growth of 60pc.

This achievement has been possible because of the good will the Company enjoys in Bahrain and the support and cooperation it receives from everyone particularly from Central Bank of Bahrain. The company is launching very shortly an immediate and deferred annuity product along with unit linked product which our customers will find very attractive.
