The Indian Republic’s 75-year incredible journey

I take this opportunity to convey my warm greetings and felicitations to the members of the Indian community and friends of India in Bahrain on the occasion of the 75th Republic Day of India.

On the 75th Republic Day, we celebrate the incredible journey from the day the Constitution went into effect to the present, one that has served as an inspiration to many other countries.

On Republic Day, we commemorate the accomplishments that our country has made as a whole. There is good cause for pride in the Indian Story for all Indian nationals, both domestically and overseas.

On the bilateral front, our relations between India and the Kingdom of Bahrain continue to be on an upswing. Our cooperation is diversifying and expanding into new and emerging areas. It is also strengthening in economic & commercial, education, health and pharma, IT, space technology, food security and renewable energy sectors.

India is the sixth largest investor in Bahrain contributing roughly 4% of FDI in Bahrain. Embassy of India, Bahrain is committed to taking political exchanges, defence and higher education cooperation, trade and economic relations and people-to-people linkages with the friendly Kingdom of Bahrain to new heights and call upon the Indian community to continue to actively support the economic prosperity of the friendly Kingdom of Bahrain.

The rich Indian culture and its legacy is appreciated across the world and is exemplified by the vibrant Indian community in Bahrain. They are a key pillar in our two-way relationship. The Indian government is dedicated to closely interacting with the Indian diaspora, working for their welfare, and integrating them into India’s development narrative.

I wish continued progress, well-being and prosperity to the friendly people of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
