According to an announcement from the Pakistani Embassy, gulf nationals will no longer require visas to enter Pakistan for work or tourism.
In a statement issued from its office in Bahrain, the embassy revealed that under a new visa policy from Islamabad, citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries—Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain—are now exempt from the requirement to apply for electronic travel authorisation or visas through the e-visa portal.
The embassy’s release clarified that travellers from these nations need only to purchase a flight ticket to Pakistan, where they can stay for up to 90 days for work or leisure.
The changes, according to the statement, are intended to ease the process of travel for business and tourism between the Gulf and Pakistan.
