Medical centre killed my wife: Indian husband

An Indian man is accusing a medical centre in Sharjah of causing his wife’s death by injecting her with the wrong anti-cancer medicine.

The man said his 32-year-old wife, a nurse, visited the centre on Wasit Road in the emirate for treatment and that they gave her an injection before sending her home.

The Arabic language daily 'Al Khaleej' quoted the husband as telling police that his wife, identified as B.T, started to suffer from severe pains in her breast just after returning home. He said he rushed her to Al Qassimi Hospital, where she died next day.

“The husband is accusing the medical centre of killing his wife, who is suffering from cancer, by injecting her with the wrong medicine,” the paper said.

It quoted police as saying they are investigating the case to determine whether the centre committed a medical error or the nurse’s death was normal.
