UAE President and Emir of Kuwait Discuss Strong Bilateral Relations and Regional Stability

On Sunday, UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait, during a state visit to Kuwait. The two leaders gathered at Bayan Palace to discuss the close relations between their countries and explore new ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors.
The meeting focused on bolstering ties between the UAE and Kuwait, with particular emphasis on economic, trade, and investment partnerships that align with both countries' goals for development and prosperity. The leaders reviewed the progress achieved in these areas and discussed opportunities for further collaboration, underscoring their commitment to strengthening long-standing bonds between the two nations and their citizens.
A key topic on the agenda was advancing cooperation within the Gulf region. The two leaders reiterated their commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) coordination for the shared benefit of member states and for promoting regional stability and security.
The UAE President and Emir of Kuwait also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments, including recent escalations in Gaza and Lebanon. They emphasized the urgent need for increased international efforts to halt hostilities in Gaza, prioritizing the protection of civilians under international humanitarian law. Additionally, the two leaders affirmed their countries' dedication to supporting Lebanon's sovereignty and unity, urging for immediate action to end hostilities and protect Lebanese civilians.
Both leaders stressed the importance of preventing further conflict escalation in the Middle East, highlighting the need for a path toward lasting peace based on a two-state solution that ensures stability and security for all parties involved.
In his remarks, Sheikh Mohamed emphasized that economic cooperation is a key pillar for deepening ties and achieving shared aspirations across the GCC and the Arab world. He noted that Kuwait stands as a vital partner in the UAE’s vision for regional progress and prosperity.
The UAE President concluded his state visit to Kuwait on Sunday afternoon. He was seen off at Amiri Airport by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait, along with senior Kuwaiti officials and members of the royal family.
