European Ryder Cup star Tommy Fleetwood has officially committed to the 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic, adding another big name to the prestigious golf tournament set to take place from January 16 to 19 at the Emirates Golf Club.

The former Race to Dubai champion will join defending champion Rory McIlroy in a star-studded lineup for the $9 million Rolex Series event, part of the DP World Tour’s 2025 Race to Dubai. McIlroy is aiming for a historic fifth win of the iconic Dallah Trophy, promising an intense competition at this renowned event.

Fleetwood, a Dubai resident and winner of his seventh DP World Tour title earlier this year, will be making his 14th consecutive appearance on the Majlis Course. Having previously secured back-to-back wins in Abu Dhabi in 2017 and 2018, Fleetwood expressed his enthusiasm:

"I always enjoy starting my season in the Middle East, and having played the Hero Dubai Desert Classic every year since joining the Tour, it’s become a tournament that I love. I’m looking forward to teeing it up close to home in front of friends and family once again.”
