The crash resulted in the deaths of six military personnel, including a brigadier general who headed the military aviation school, according to officials.

The Turkish Defense Ministry confirmed that five victims succumbed at the crash site, while a sixth passed away in a hospital due to severe injuries. The second helicopter involved in the collision managed a safe landing about 400 meters from the crash site.
