Both crew members who survived the Jeju Air flight disaster at Muan International Airport on the 29th have been transferred to hospitals in Seoul for further treatment.
Flight attendant Lee (33), who was initially treated at Mokpo Korean Hospital at the request of his family, arrived at the emergency medical center of Ewha Hospital in Seoul at approximately 4:13 p.m. that day. According to the paramedic who transferred Lee, the patient was conscious and responsive during the journey. "We were able to communicate on the way," the paramedic told reporters.
Lee, who was responsible for passenger service at the rear of the plane, underwent a thorough examination after a preliminary check. At Mokpo Korean Hospital, he was diagnosed with fractures in his left shoulder and head. Despite these injuries, his pulse was stable, and he was able to walk.
The second surviving flight attendant, identified only by the surname Koo, was also transferred to Seoul at the request of his family. Koo sustained injuries to his ankle and head, but his condition was not life-threatening.
Medical staff at Mokpo Korean Hospital, who initially treated Koo, reported that when he first arrived, he was able to communicate and his blood pressure was normal. However, they noted significant bleeding on the right side of his head, indicating potential damage to blood vessels. Additionally, his right ankle was swollen, suggesting that it had been pinned beneath the body during the incident.
