Kozhikode Jilla Pravasi Forum Leaders Meet Indian Ambassador to Bahrain

The newly elected leaders of the Kozhikode Jilla Pravasi Forum (KPF) met with His Excellency Mr. Vinod K. Jacob, Ambassador of India to Bahrain, at the Indian Embassy today. The delegation, led by President Mr. Sudheer Thirunilath, included General Secretary Mr. Arun Prakash, Patron Mr. Jamal Kuttikkattil, Vice President Mr. Akhil Thamarassery, Sports Wing Convener Mr. Sudhi Chathoth, and Ladies Wing Convener Ms. Sajna Sanoop. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Ravi Jain, Honorable Second Secretary, HOC, and CW.
The discussions addressed key issues impacting the Indian expatriate community in Bahrain:

Gulf Air’s Discontinued Flights to Kozhikode and Cochin
The delegation submitted a formal request for the Ambassador’s intervention to reinstate the flights, citing their importance to the Indian diaspora. -
Delays in Police Verification for Passport Renewals
Concerns were raised regarding extended verification timelines and their challenges for expatriates. -
Labor Welfare Issues
The group discussed the well-being of Indian workers and explored potential solutions for their concerns.
The KPF leaders also briefed the Ambassador on the organization’s initiatives and ongoing efforts to support the community. His Excellency Vinod K. Jacob commended KPF’s contributions and reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to addressing the needs of the Indian diaspora in Bahrain.
The KPF representatives expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Ambassador and Embassy officials for their unwavering support and dedication to the welfare of the Indian community in Bahrain.
