Saudi Central Bank and Google Launch Google Pay in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) has officially partnered with Google to bring Google Pay to Saudi Arabia through the national payment network, mada. The service is set to roll out this year, offering secure and seamless transactions for users across the Kingdom.
Google Pay will allow users to make purchases in stores, through apps, and online, while Google Wallet will enable convenient card management, prioritizing safety and ease of use.
This collaboration aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to modernize the Kingdom’s digital payment systems, reduce reliance on cash, and integrate globally recognized financial technologies. It demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s commitment to evolving its FinTech ecosystem and enhancing its global financial competitiveness.
