Vaccination Requirement for Umrah Passengers from 1st February 2025

In a bid to ensure the safety and health of travelers, Saudia Airlines has announced a new vaccination requirement for all passengers traveling to perform Umrah or visit the holy sites in Saudi Arabia, effective from February 1, 2025.
To comply with health regulations, all Umrah passengers, regardless of visa type, must be vaccinated with the Quadrivalent Neisseria meningitis vaccine (either polysaccharide or conjugate type) at least 10 days before arrival in Saudi Arabia.
Vaccine Certificate Requirements:
- Vaccine Type: Quadrivalent Neisseria meningitis vaccine (Polysaccharide or Conjugate type)
- Vaccination Timing: Must be administered at least 10 days before arrival.
- Polysaccharide Type: Valid for no more than 3 years
- Conjugate Type: Valid for no more than 5 years
Passengers will be required to present a valid vaccination certificate at the check-in counter for verification.
This update follows a circular from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) health requirements for Umrah travelers.
Travel agents and operators are urged to communicate this information to their customers promptly to avoid any disruptions to their travel plans.
