Arab Health 2025, the premier event for the medical sector in the Near and Middle East, is set to host 89 French healthcare experts at the French Pavilion. These innovators will unveil their latest advancements across three distinct halls:
Za’abeel 2: Focused on medical devices.
Sheikh Rashid Hall: Highlighting orthopaedics, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation solutions.
Sheikh Saeed Hall 1: Showcasing state-of-the-art medical imaging technologies.
The French delegation, supported by Business France, includes 20 first-time participants, reflecting the vibrancy of the nation’s healthcare ecosystem. Key partners in this initiative include the French Healthcare Association, EURASANTÉ, DEV UP, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of France's Greater Eastern Region.
France: A Legacy of Medical Excellence
Globally recognized for its medical and scientific leadership, France boasts a dynamic healthcare ecosystem comprising over 2,660 innovative companies. Its healthcare achievements are underscored by its internationally acclaimed hospitals.
Three French institutions were featured in Newsweek’s 2024 rankings of the world’s top 50 hospitals:
Hôpital Universitaire Pitié-Salpêtrière (Paris) – 8th place.
Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou (Paris) – 17th place.
Hôpital Claude Huriez (Lille) – 38th place.
With a 1.4% increase in doctors compared to 2023, France continues to solidify its contributions to global healthcare advancements.
At Arab Health 2025, French companies will present groundbreaking solutions, including air purifiers utilizing advanced technology to combat infections, non-invasive monitoring devices for intensive care and oncology, telemedicine platforms, and medical photo management systems. These innovations highlight France’s dedication to addressing modern healthcare challenges.
UAE Healthcare Market: Opportunities for France
France and the UAE share a strategic partnership in the healthcare sector, with French pharmaceutical exports to the UAE reaching $265 million in 2022. This makes France the fourth-largest pharmaceutical supplier to the UAE. French expertise spans pharmaceuticals, MedTech, diagnostics, imaging, and healthcare IT.
Under initiatives like France 2030 and Health Innovation 2030, France has earmarked €7.5 billion for healthcare innovation, including €400 million for MedTech advancements. Prestigious institutions such as the Curie Institute and the Rothschild Foundation Hospital have also established regional offices in Dubai, strengthening collaborative efforts in research, training, and healthcare management.
