Ajith Kumar, an Indian expatriate residing in Qatar for the past two decades, has won a staggering Dh1 million in the Big Ticket’s final Millionaire Weekly e-draw for January.

Kumar, 53, a senior accountant from Kerala, has been living in Qatar with his wife and children. His journey with Big Ticket started ten years ago after he first encountered advertisements for the lottery. For the past five years, Kumar has been pooling resources with his colleagues to buy tickets each month. However, this time, the lucky winner was himself, as he purchased the winning ticket independently.

“I still can’t believe I’ve won. It feels so surreal,” Kumar shared, expressing his disbelief after receiving the life-changing news.

Recalling the moment he was informed of his win, Kumar admitted, “When I first received the call, I thought it might be a scam, so I immediately checked the official website to be sure. It was only after confirming that I let the reality of my win sink in.”

With the Dh1 million prize, Kumar plans to invest in his children’s education and provide support to his parents. Despite his newfound wealth, Kumar has no plans to stop participating in the Big Ticket draws.

“My message to others is simple: Keep trying your luck – you never know when your moment will come,” he advised fellow hopefuls.
