UAE President Restructures AI and Advanced Technology Council

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, has issued a decision to restructure the board of the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council.

The council will now be chaired by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, while Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, will serve as vice-chairman.

The AI and Advanced Technology Council, established in November 2024, marks a significant step in the UAE’s ongoing commitment to technological innovation and development. The council is tasked with advancing the country’s digital future by fostering AI initiatives, shaping the national strategy for AI adoption, and driving advancements in technology to enhance efficiency and sustainability.

The restructuring aims to bolster the council’s efforts to formulate and implement policies that will guide the UAE's growth in the fields of artificial intelligence, research, infrastructure, and technology investments. With a strong leadership team in place, the council is poised to make significant strides in advancing the UAE’s position as a leader in technology and innovation on the global stage.
