Plane Crash off Honduras' Roatan Island Claims 7 Lives, 10 Survive

A plane crashed off the Caribbean coast of Honduras on Monday night, shortly after taking off from Roatan Island. The Jetstream aircraft, operated by Honduran airline Lanhsa, was carrying 14 passengers and three crew members. Authorities confirmed that seven people were killed, while 10 others were pulled from the wreckage alive.
The wreckage was located approximately 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) from the island’s coast, and rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by authorities, and the identities of the victims and survivors have not yet been officially released.
This incident marks a tragic moment for Honduras, as the nation’s aviation safety comes under scrutiny following the crash.
