FBI Launches Task Force to Investigate Attacks on Tesla Facilities

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced the formation of a new task force dedicated to investigating a growing number of violent incidents targeting Tesla properties across the United States. The move comes in response to a series of attacks, including arson, vandalism, and gunfire, directed at Tesla charging stations, dealerships, and repair centers.

According to authorities, the attacks have been reported in at least nine states, often taking place at night and appearing to be the work of individual perpetrators. The FBI has urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity near Tesla facilities. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) will collaborate with the FBI in these investigations.

Recent incidents include a firebombing at a Tesla repair shop in Las Vegas on March 18, where Molotov cocktails were used to ignite vehicles. In another case, gunshots were fired into a Tesla showroom in Portland, Oregon. Other reported attacks have involved spray-painted messages, destruction of charging stations, and attempted arson.

Authorities in Austin, Texas, also responded to reports of suspicious devices at a Tesla dealership, later confirmed to be incendiary in nature. A bomb squad was called in to remove the materials safely. Law enforcement has not disclosed further details, citing an ongoing investigation.

Officials have classified these attacks as a growing security concern, prompting federal agencies to increase their focus on identifying and apprehending those responsible. The FBI has called for anyone with information related to these incidents to come forward as investigations continue.
