An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale struck the Arabian Gulf in the early hours of today, according to seismic monitoring centers.

The tremor is part of a recent pattern of seismic activity in the region. Several earthquakes and tremors have been recorded within a short time span, including three that hit the southern part of Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. The most recent of these occurred just three days ago, near the Saudi-Qatari border, and measured 4.0 on the Richter scale.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, though no damages or injuries have been reported so far.
