Ex-Bahrain resident, community leader dies in India

Longtime Bahrain resident and Ex-President of SURYA Social and Cultural Association, Bahrain T.S.S Panicker (73) passed away this evening at Cochin, Kerala.

He was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Ernakulam Medical Centre in Cochin for the past few days where he finally breathed his last.

He worked as an aircraft engineer with the Shaikh Isa airbase for many years.

He was very active in Bahrain's social circles and was the vice president of the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam(BKS) in 1996 when CR Nambiar was the president and M.P. Raghu was the general secretary. 

He also served as president of the Kerala Social and Cultural Association(NSS) Bahrain. 

Mr Panicker left to his native early this April after living in Bahrain for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife Sreedevi Panicker who retired as the vice principal of the Indian School Bahrain(ISB) Riffa Campus  and children Shaleena Panicker and Dr Sandeep Panicker.  

Cremation will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) noon at Alappuza, Kerala.

Jwala Bahrain patron M.P. Raghu expressed his deep condolence on the sad demise of Mr Panicker.
