Minister of Energy (KSA), Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, announced on Wednesday that Saudi Aramco has made significant discoveries of 14 oil and natural gas fields and reservoirs across the Eastern Province and the Empty Quarter in Saudi Arabia. These discoveries include six oil fields and two oil reservoirs, along with two gas fields and four gas reservoirs.

The minister congratulated Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, wishing continued growth and prosperity for Saudi Arabia and its people.

Among the notable findings, the Jabu oil field in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia was discovered with Arabian Extra Light Oil flowing at 800 barrels per day (bpd) from the Jabu-1 well. Similarly, the Sayahid oil field showed a flow of 630 bpd from the Sayahid-2 well, and the Ayfan oil field revealed a flow of 2,840 bpd along with 0.44 million standard cubic feet (MMscf) of associated gas per day from the Ayfan-2 well.

Additionally, the Jubaila oil reservoir in Berri field was found with Arabian Light Oil flowing at 520 bpd from the Berri-907 well, and the Unayzah-A oil reservoir in Mazalij field exhibited 1,011 bpd from the Mazalij-64 well, along with 0.92 MMscf of associated gas per day.

In the Empty Quarter, the Nuwayr oil field was discovered with 1,800 bpd of Arabian Medium Oil from the Nuwayr-1 well, while the Damda field showed combined flows of 200 bpd of Arabian Medium Oil and 115 bpd of Arabian Extra Light Oil from the Mishrif reservoirs. The Qurqas oil field also reported a flow of 210 bpd of Arabian Medium Oil from the Qurqas-1 well.

For natural gas, Prince Abdulaziz highlighted the discovery of the Ghizlan gas field in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, where gas flowed at 32 MMscf per day from the Unayzah B/C reservoir, along with 2,525 barrels of condensate. The Araam gas field was also found with gas flowing at 24 MMscf per day from the Unayzah B/C reservoir, with 3,000 barrels of condensate.

The Qusaiba unconventional gas reservoir in Mihwaz field exhibited a flow of 3.5 MMscf per day with 485 barrels of condensates, while the Empty Quarter saw multiple gas discoveries, including the Arab-C and Arab-D gas reservoirs in Marzouq field, which yielded flows of 9.5 MMscf and 10 MMscf per day, respectively, from the Marzouq-8 well. Additionally, the Upper Jubaila gas reservoir was discovered with a flow of 1.5 MMscf per day from the same well.

Prince Abdulaziz emphasized that these discoveries strengthen Saudi Arabia's global energy leadership and its substantial hydrocarbon resources. He highlighted their potential to foster economic development, enhance energy security, and support the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals. The minister stressed that these discoveries would help meet both domestic and international energy demands sustainably for decades.
