U.S. President Donald Trump is set to embark on a three-nation tour of the Middle East next month, marking his second official overseas trip since returning to office.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced on Tuesday that President Trump will visit Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates from May 13 to May 16. The visit follows his upcoming attendance at the funeral of Pope Francis at the Vatican this Saturday.
While further details of the itinerary were not disclosed during the briefing, the trip is expected to focus on strengthening diplomatic ties, regional security cooperation, and economic collaboration with key Gulf allies.
This tour signals a renewed emphasis on U.S. engagement in the Middle East and underscores the administration's commitment to fostering strong relationships with strategic partners in the region.
