Mauritanian president's son dies in road accident
Son of the Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, Ahmed, has died in a traffic accident, 800 km east of the capital.
Three others, including the driver, also died in the crash on Tuesday.
Ahmed, 24, was in the area to distribute humanitarian aid to needy populations when the tragedy occurred.
He was head of the non-governmental charity organisation Rahma (mercy) which supports destitute people with food, clothing, school supplies among others in various regions of Mauritania.
