'Negligent' mother to stand trial for 'burning' son
An Arab mother has been referred to court by the Fujairah public prosecution to stand trial for alleged negligence after her son burnt himself in the kitchen, Khaleej Times reported.
The Fujairah public prosecution reportedly accused the woman of negligence for causing her child injuries and burns.
The child's father reported the incident to The City Police station, blaming his wife for negligence, claiming she accidentally 'burned' their little son after boiled water fell on some parts of his body in the kitchen.
When questioned, the mother admitted that she was unable to keep an eye on their son as she was busy with house work - which eventually resulted in the incident.
The wife claimed that her husband had initiated legal action against her since there were some personal disputes between them.
The case file was referred to the public prosecution that blamed the mother and ordered the case be referred to court, so that the woman would be handed down a punishment as per the law.
