Three little sisters suffocate to death during fire

Three little Syrian sisters suffocated to death while their brother and sister survived after they were trapped inside their apartment following a massive fire at the neighboring flat in Kuwaiti, newspapers reported on Thursday.

The mother tried to rescue her children and run out of the building but the fire has already spread to the parlour in the sixth floor.

Kuwaiti firemen, who bought the blaze under control, managed to save a little boy and his sister but three other sisters suffocated to death by the smoke.

Newspapers said their father was out at work at the time of the accident. They did not specify the kids' ages but said they are all below 10 years old.

“I don’t know how the fire started but initial police investigation shows it might have been caused by a burning shisha at the neighboring flat,” the father said, quoted by the Arabic language daily Alanba.

“I don’t want to accuse any one…I only want to say thanks God for everything and I ask Him to have mercy on my dead children.”
