Bird strike leaves hole in plane while landing
The picture may look like a live-action version of a scene from a cartoon, but it really happened.
An Air Namibia passenger flight collided with a bird causing significant damage to the aircraft while landing at Hosea Kutaka International Airport.
The A319-100 aircraft, carrying 112 passengers, landed safely, reported Namibian.com
The airline spokesperson reportedly apologized to passengers as some of the departure times had to be revised following the incident.
Meanwhile, a passenger tweeted pictures showing a hole across the aircraft’s underbody panels.
