Father shots son over property dispute
A 64-year-old father seriously wounded his son, 40, by shooting him over property dispute in Angunakolapelessa area in Srilanka.
On the day of incident, the father, who lives with his younger son in the same area, fought with the son again on the property issue and sharing of a paddy harvesting machine.
The suspect also burnt the motorcycle used by the victim and fled the area after hitting the victim with a club and shooting with a gun.
The father confessed after being arrested by Angunakolapelessa police. The gun used in the shooting was found from nearby paddy fields.
The suspect has been remanded until January 29.
