Crimes decline by half in Qatar
Qatar's Ministry of Interior has highlighted the big decline in the rate of crime in 2015 year-on-year.
Statistics show declines of 49.2% in reports on what could be considered major crimes.
Rape, abduction, theft and intentional burning down of a house or a building are considered major crimes.
The Ministry's statistics show that there is one crime occurring for every 100,000 people.
Theft crimes are 99.1% below the international average. Murder is 97.5% below the international standard, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
