Airblue plane’s tyre bursts at Pakistan’s Islamabad airport
An Airblue aircraft, Airbus A320, narrowly escaped a tragic accident when one of its tyres burst while landing at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad on Friday.
According to an official of Airblue Airline the flight PA 271, which was coming from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, carrying 230 passengers crashed landing when it tilted to the runway edge as one of its tyres burst.
He said the right engine touched ground, but stressed that all passengers were safe.
This is the second such incident. Earlier, a Boeing plane crashed into Margalla hills five kilometers from Islamabad in 2010 .The incident resulted in the death of all 146 passengers and six crew.
