Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival takes to stage Tuesday

Manama : Excitement is rising as Mickey Mouse and his band of friends, get ready to take the stage for a spectacular performance of mega proportions in the much-awaited Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival which debuts in Bahrain today, Tuesday 15th of March and will run for 5 days, until Saturday 19th of March. Produced by Feld Entertainment in partnership with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), the show promises to be one of the biggest and most spectacular concert experiences to hit live family entertainment in Bahrain, complemented by award-winning music, stunning choreography and beautiful costumes all intended to create a lifetime of memories.


Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival falls under the calendar of events planned by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority to commemorate the country’s standing as ‘Manama Gulf Capital of Tourism 2016’, and further stimulate the tourism and hospitality sectors in the Kingdom.

Commenting on the positive response received so far, Shaikh Khaled Bin Humood Al Khalifa, Acting Chief Executive of the Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority stated, "We are confident the show will be a success especially seeing the burst of demand witnessed so far, with the first three shows being sold-out. This truly sets the stage for the rest of the exciting initiatives we have in store for the remainder of this year."

"This is a first-time attraction for Bahrain and marks the show’s 77th international destination; it has been a pleasure working with Disney and Feld Entertainment on this project and we would like to thank them for giving us the opportunity to host this production in the Kingdom. An event of this scale and magnitude required the joint efforts of multiple parties to plan and execute but the impact, without doubt will be mesmerizing. The show will be a definite magnet for both adults and children and will draw in families from Bahrain and our neighbouring countries, supporting our efforts to encourage intra-regional tourism and further the Kingdom’s position as a hub for family entertainment", further commented Shaikh Khaled.

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority have also partnered up with the Middle East Medical Center to give a large group of orphans the opportunity to attend the opening show.

Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival promises to transport guests of all ages to a new world of music, acrobatics, and magical performances by an all-star line-up of more than 25 Disney characters, from Disney’s most celebrated shows including The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Disney Pixar’s Toy Story.

The father-daughter production team, Kenneth Feld and Alana Feld, has hand selected award-winning creative talents whose credits span from working with Madonna to winning a Latin Grammy Award to designing hundreds of costumes for Disney theme park shows.

Mickey’s Music Festival extravaganza will be held from 15th to the 19th of March 2016 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
