Riyadh to have beauty and makeup academy
Riyadh: An academy for beauty and makeup, with both national and international accreditation, will soon be set up in Saudi, in collaboration with a London school of beauty, according to an announcement made here at an agreement signing ceremony on Thursday night.
The academy, to be called London School for Beauty and Makeup (LSBM)-Riyadh, will be set up in collaboration with the Riyadh- based MENA Company for Training and Development (MENACTD), a subsidiary of Al-Hokair Group for Tourism and Development.
The agreement was singed by Majid Al-Hokair, the chairman of MENACTD, and George Hammar, chairman of Hammer Holdings, owner of LSBM, with the attendance of the commercial counsellor and director of UK trade and investment at the British Embassy in Riyadh, Victor Annells.
Addressing the event, Annells said that his country is proud to have this new partnership between a renowned British vocational school and a giant Saudi group of high reputation in the business field, which will be a contribution to society.
Majid Al-Hokair said that the academy will be the largest and most modern school for beauty and makeup training in the Kingdom, and will enormously contribute in preparing young Saudi girls to the highly promising field of beauty and makeup for gainful jobs.
