‘Don’t click pictures while driving in rain’
Doha : Motorists should drive cautiously, reduce speed and not click pictures during rainy conditions, the Qatar Met department has advised.
These were among the general safety tips issued by the department yesterday for the country’s inhabitants in view of the rainy conditions likely to last in Qatar until Friday night.
“When there is a thunderstorm, try to get indoors quickly. If driving, stop your car in a safe place – keeping the windows closed – until the thunderstorm dissipates,” the advisory said.
The department has also advised people to avoid venturing into the sea during the period of unstable weather as strong winds, thundery conditions and high waves are expected in offshore areas.
