Foofighters’ Dave Grohl breaks leg after falling off stage

Stockholm

Foofighters frontman Dave Grohl broke his leg after falling off the stage during a gig in Sweden.

The 46-year-old did his best continue performing after the painful accident for a short time.

The band was performing their second song of their set Monkey Wrench when the incident happened at their concert in Gothenberg.

While he waited for medical attention he told the audience: 'Hey, ladies and gentlemen, I love you too. Now look I think I just broke my leg. I think I really broke leg.'

He added: 'So look, you have my promise, right now, that the Foo Fighters, we're gonna come back and finish the show.

After having his leg bandaged, Dave returned to the stage and finished the concert sitting in a chair.

Staying true to his word he completed the show.

He told the audience: 'I may not be able to walk or run but I can still play guitar and scream.'

Dave is not the first musician to break an bone and soldier on for the sake of the audience.

At the Coachella Music festival in April Florence Welch broke her foot when she jumped off stage.

The Florence And The Machine front woman sat on a chair for the rest of the performance.

Meanwhile Enrique Inglesias fell victim to a drone when he caught it in his hand at his Tijuana concert in May.

It as trick he had done before but this time it went awry.

The singer was left with a bloodied hand but carried on performing.
