Passenger evokes panic on Kuwait flight
Kuwait City: Passengers boarding a Kuwait Airways flight to Amman from Kuwait on Saturday had their baggage re-inspected after a fellow passenger “shouted in a threatening manner,” the carrier said on its Twitter account.
The Kuwaiti interior ministry denied in a statement receiving a threat about a bomb on the plane bound to Jordan.
Flight 561 was ready to take off with 230 passengers aboard before it was temporarily disrupted when a reckless passenger “screamed in a threatening manner causing slight panic,” the airline said.
The luggage of all passengers on flight 561 were re-inspected to ensure safety following the apparent threat, the company said in a series of tweets.
Airport security immediately dealt with the offender, it added.
