Heat kills thousands of fish in Saudi Arabia
Thousands of fish were killed due to soaring summer temperatures, with a large quantity of them washing ashore in Saudi waters, according to a report by Emirates24/7.
A YouTube film carried by Sabq newspaper showed hundreds of tonnes of fish dotting the beach at the Eastern port of Dammam, the report said. It quoted experts as saying the fish died because of a surge in temperatures in the Gulf Kingdom, leading to lower oxygen levels in the water.
