Saudi Arabia imposes temporary ban on bird import from Slovakia
Riyadh : Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has imposed a temporary ban on the import of live birds, hatching eggs and chicks from the Republic of Slovakia.
The Saudi ministry announced the temporary ban after receiving a warning bulletin from World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) on breaking out of high virulent bird flu in Slovakia, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Various animal quarantines at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ports and other relevant governmental agencies have been directed to take the necessary action in this regard, SPA added.
