EU orders Amazon to pay 250 mn euro Luxembourg tax bill
Brussels : EU competition chief Margrethe Vestager on Wednesday ordered Amazon to pay 250 million euros in back taxes linked to an "illegal tax break" that Luxembourg granted the internet shopping giant.
"Luxembourg gave illegal tax benefits to Amazon. As a result, almost three quarters of Amazon's profits were not taxed," Vestager said in a statement.
