Saudi Arabia expects to achieve 133 bln USD revenues by 2030
Riyadh : The Saudi General Entertainment Authority has promised to achieve 133 billion U.S. dollars revenues by 2030, Al Hayat local newspaper reported on Wednesday.
It also expected to provide 200,000 job opportunities for the same periods.
In May 2016, the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud ordered the formation of the authority, in a move that was welcomed by many Saudis who demand more entertainment activities in the country.
Saudi Arabia lacks a single cinema theatre for religious reasons and depends on entertainments in neighboring countries such as Bahrain and UAE.
The authority said that the expected revenues will be generated in cooperation with the private sector through establishments of various entertainment cities and cultural, social and fun activities.
