Atlas Ramachandran released from Dubai Jail after three years of waiting !
M.M.Ramachandran popularly known as Atlas Ramachandran has been released from prison.
The Dubai police arrested him for financial crimes in 2015. A Dubai court had sentenced Ramachandran for three years in jail after his cheques to the tune of BD 6.1 million, bounced. He also defaulted on repaying BD 58 million loans. He was in jail since 2015. Ramachandran started his business by establishing the Atlas group in the 1970s with the first gold jewelry showroom in Kuwait city. Later the company went for a massive expansion by opening more than 50 establishments around the world. His company gained more attention for fixing the price separately for 22-24 karat jewelry. In the late 80s, he took the Atlas group into movie production. At the beginning of the millennium, he further expanded into industries such as healthcare, real estate, and post-production companies
