Brazilian Fighter of the Year hopes to train in Bahrain

Luan Santiago, 2016 Brazilian Fighter of the Year has expressed his ambition to train in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Santiago has signed with Brave Combat Federation ever since the third edition of the promotion which took place in Brazil. Santiago has two knockout victories among his three appearances in Brave Combat Federation.

Santiago has also competed against Lucas Mineiro for the interim lightweight title where he faced an injury which stopped him from claiming the championship. “Since I joined Brave, the only goal I had apart from getting the Lightweight Belt was to fight in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It’s something fascinating for me, you know?

I’ve been waiting a lot for this opportunity and I’ll take the best out of it. I want to establish strong connections with this place, that’s the home of Brave, and if possible spend some time training with Sheikh Khalid’s team at KHK MMA too, I know they have awesome people over there, like Eldar Eldarov, who I respect a lot and even studied in the past, because we are in the same weight class”, said Luan Santiago.
