IMMAF head praises KHK Heroes initiative

2018 IMMAF - WMMAA World Championships of Amateur Mixed Martial Arts is set to create history for showcasing a social cause during the opening ceremony of the event. 2018 World Championships marks the biggest event ever held showcasing over 100 nations taking part.

The event will take place during the Brave International Combat Week 2018 held in the Khalifa Sports City from 11th November till 18th November in Bahrain. The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) is the international democratic governing body for the sport of MMA.

Kerrith Brown, President of IMMAF praised the initiative and interacted with Mohammed Buhaz’a who will compete with HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa during the opening ceremony. Brown is a former Judoka and Olympic medallist for the United Kingdom and expressed his support on behalf of IMMAF towards social causes.

The opening ceremony was held on 11th November at the Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town Bahrain. “It is a wonderful initiative that the global exposure is used to highlight causes that requires attention. The main aim of IMMAF is to develop the sport and to ensure that benefits extends to the society.

KHK Heroes is a great beginning for the world championships which is also the largest that had been hosted till date. IMMAF is be glad to become a part of the initiative, KHK Heroes from HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.”, said Kerrith Brown.
