“Pride of Bahrain” victorious at Brave 21

Hamza Kooheji continues to make history for Brave Combat Federation as the first-ever Bahraini mixed martial artist continued his winning ways with a dominant decision victory over China’s Yayong Wang at Brave 21, held last Friday, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Once again, Kooheji has made Bahrain proud, with clear improvements in his stand-up striking skills as well as an even more dominant wrestling base, which overwhelmed his Chinese counterpart throughout 15 minutes at Saudi Arabia’s biggest-ever international MMA event. He also had the help of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who once again showed his commitment to his teammates at the world-famous KHK MMA gym as he worked the corner for Kooheji.

After the fight, Hamza spoke about his performance and said he was almost ready for a title shot at Bantamweight, against champion Stephen Loman from the Philippines. “I still have some things to improve. I won but I feel like I need to have one more fight before I go for the title. I want to be ready and win the title and make history for Bahrain. So I need to be at my best”, said Kooheji. The “Pride of Bahrain” is now 8-2 in his professional MMA career with five of those wins coming under the Brave Combat Federation banner
