Breaking News: 14 items retrieved from man’s stomach
A 35 year old man hailing from Himachal Pradesh was admitted at a local hospital in the area of Mandi following complaints of stomach ache.
Family members rushed the man, identified as Karan, to the hospital after discovering the sharp end of a knife protruding from inside his stomach.
An abdominal x ray revealed spoons and other items.
Following a four hour surgery, astounded doctors at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College and Hospital in Mandi were able to recover 14 items which included one knife, eight spoons, two screwdrivers, two toothbrushes and a small steel bar.
According to the doctors, the man, a resident of Sundernagar in Mandi, is a patient of psychiatric disorder.
Doctors revealed that Karan is currently stable and recovering.
