T-Series becomes first YouTube channel to acquire over 100 million subscribers

Famous Indian YouTube channel T-Series which gained popularity with posting music and movie related content has now made social media history by becoming the first YouTube channel to host over 100 million subscribers.

Until March 2019, Swedish YouTube channel PewDiePie managed by one Felix Kjellberg, reigned as the most popular YouTube channel and was overthrown by T-Series who at the time had not yet reached the 100 million mark.

PewDiePie who currently host 96 million subscribers had previously stated that he 'didn't really care' about T-Series, adding in an October video: "Everyone is going on the rant, 'YouTube is not really becoming YouTube' and, 'it's never going to be the same now.

T-Series announced their achievement on various social media platforms thanking their fans and followers for their support stating “Thank you for being part of our journey. T-Series - Making India Proud,”
