Trump’s Middle East envoy Greenblatt resigns
Jason Greenblatt, a key architect of President Donald Trump’s much-delayed Israeli-Palestinian peace plan, said yesterday he has resigned. Greenblatt said in a statement it had been “the honour of a lifetime” to work in the White House.
A senior administration official said Greenblatt was going to spend more time with his family but left on good terms and “holds the confidence of the president.”
Earlier in the day, officials had hinted that Greenblatt planned to resign once the long-delayed US peace plan for Israel and the Palestinians that he has been working on is released.
