Govt Forum key to development: Cabinet Minister

The 2019 Government Forum will help accelerate the efficiency and quality of services provided by the government, said the Minister of Cabinet affairs. The Forum, on Sunday, Mohammed bin Ebrahim Al-Mutawa said, will serve as a platform for exchanging views on public policies and programmes to continue improving its efficiency.

Held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, following the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Prime Minister, the event falls in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad, and in accordance with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.

2019 Government Forum will see the presentation of ‘Government Best Practices’ awards and ‘Customer Service Excellence Award for Customer support via Tawasul’ to ministries and agencies. The Kingdom, Al-Mutawa said, is actively pursuing the delivery of high-quality services alongside the implementation of the Fiscal Balance Programme, which aims at achieving a balance between expenditure and revenue by the year 2022.

High-level plenary sessions will focus on 2019-2022 Government Programme and the principles of sustainability, competitiveness and fairness, which are underpinned by Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
