Saudi, Chinese navies hold joint drills
The Special Forces of Jeddah-based Western Fleet of the Saudi Royal Navy, continued carrying out the dually mixed naval exercise, titled the Blue Sword 2019, with its Chinese counterpart.
The exercise has started last week, at King Faisal Naval Base of the Western Fleet, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
These drills aim at mutual trust building, and corroborate cooperation among the two navies of the Kingdom and China, in addition to expertise exchange, upgrading the potentials of the participants in the field of combating maritime piracy and terrorism and raising training and combat readiness.
