Conference spotlights on youth empowerment
A delegation from Foreign Affairs Ministry, participated in the Regional Conference for Arab League Member States in Abu Dhabi.
The delegation was headed by the Foreign Minister’s Adviser for Political, Economic and Security Affairs, Ambassador Saeed Mohammed Al Faihani. The conference was co-organised by the Emirati Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ministry, the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, and Hedayah Centre to Counter Violent Extremism.
The conference discussed ways to enhance cooperation and exchange of experiences between the member states of Arab League, the United Nations and the international community in the field of youth empowerment and the promotion of tolerance.
It also focused on the implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy and related Security Council resolutions, including United Nations Resolution 2250 (2015) concerning youth, peace and security
