Saudi welcomes deal with Kuwait
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet’s session, which welcomed the signing by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait of an agreement annexed to the two agreements of dividing the divided and the submerged zones, adjacent to the divided zone, and a memorandum of understanding related to procedures for resuming oil production from the divided and submerged zones on both sides.
The Cabinet also stressed that this embodies an aspect of deep-rooted relations between the two countries, led by The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait.
The Minister of Media, Turki bin Abdullah Al-Shabanah, pointed out in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency after the session, that the Cabinet reviewed latest developments in the region and the world, stressing the Kingdom’s wide attention and follow-up to the sufferings of Muslims in Myanmar, praising in this regard the United Nations General Assembly adoption of the “Situation of Human Rights of Rohingya Muslims And Other Minorities In Myanmar” resolution, which the Kingdom submitted on behalf of its sponsoring countries, emanating from its belief in the need to find a solution to their tragedy and recognise their right of citizenship and a decent life.
The Cabinet reviewed the final statement of the meeting of independent members representatives of Syrian revolution and opposition forces held in Riyadh, with participation of Syrian national figures from all components of the Syrian people, citing the importance of the political process to achieve a political transition in accordance with international decisions.
