New gas field found in Sharjah, largest in 37 years
The field is expected to produce 50 million cubic feet of gas per day.
A new gas field has been discovered today in Sharjah.
Located in the Mahani area, this is the largest discovery of a gas field in the emirate in 37 years.
According to Hatem Al Mousa, the executive director of the Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC), the field is expected to produce 50 million cubic feet of gas per day once a direct line is established.
The well is expected to start production before the end of the year.
