Military helicopter carrying diplomats crashes in Myanmar

A military spokesman in Myanmar said today, Friday, that a helicopter carrying foreign diplomats crashed in the eastern Myanmar this afternoon, injuring two pilots.
"A few military attaches were on the plane that was en route to Yangon, the commercial capital, when it crashed shortly after take-off from Loy Khan village in northern Shan State," spokesman Zhao Min Ton said in a press release.
He said they had attended a military statement in the area where the authorities recently seized drugs, chemicals and equipment worth $ 37 million, and it was not immediately clear if any other than the pilots were wounded.
